Todd from Garden Guy just finished re-doing our front flowerbeds. His price was fair, I liked his expertise on knowing what plants would survive with our North-facing garden, loved his design choices, and especially liked that he is familiar with First Colony restrictions and codes. I heartily recommend his services! Oh! And job was completed in one day with great looking plants.

Austin Meadows

We recently had the Garden Guy do our landscaping in the front and back. It has turned out beautiful and they were such a pleasure to work with. I’ve never had a landscaper till now show up when promised and deliver healthy plants as expected. Thank you so much!

Silver Ridge & Waterbrook

I recently engaged Todd (The Garden Guy) to redo my front flower beds. The initial meeting with Todd was very relaxed and he listened intently to fully understand my needs. He was on time on the day of installation (even though it was a cold a nasty day), completed the work timely and thoroughly cleaned up afterwards. The final product was better than I had imagined! I highly recommend Todd for your landscaping needs. It was an extreme pleasure doing business with him.

Heritage Colony

I would like to thank Todd and the Garden Guy crew for the great job they did on my front flower beds about a month ago. They replaced everything except two trees and we love the way the new look. Our yard needed a refresh as a result of our friend Hurricane Harvey, and Garden Guy did not disappoint. The work was all done in just one day and all of the plants are looking great! Thanks also to Sabrina for being very responsive to our questions.

Lakes On Eldridge

Garden Guy really does quality work. They re-sodded my front yard. They removed all the dead grass, added sand and dirt, tilled it all together well and then laid the sod. They also gave me instructions on how to take care of it, such as watering daily for 2 weeks and fertilizing in March. The yard looks fantastic now!

Victoria White Salvia produces dense spikes of white, tubular flowers that are highly attractive to pollinators like bees and butterflies.

Height and Spread: This plant typically grows to about 18 to 24 inches tall and spreads about 12 to 18 inches.

HOW TO!

Sunlight: Victoria White Salvia thrives in full sun but can tolerate partial shade. However, the best flowering occurs in full sun.

Soil: It prefers well-draining soil and is quite drought-tolerant once established, making it a good choice for xeriscaping.

Watering: While drought-tolerant, regular watering during prolonged dry spells will keep it looking its best. Avoid overwatering, as it does not like soggy roots.

Temperature: This salvia is generally grown as an annual in cooler climates but can be perennial in USDA zones 7 to 10.

Care and Maintenance

Fertilization: Feed lightly with a general-purpose fertilizer in the spring to promote vigorous growth and flowering.

Pruning: Deadheading the spent flowers can encourage more blooms. Cutting back the plant after the first flush of flowers can also promote a second bloom period in the fall.

Pest and Disease Resistance: It is generally resistant to pests and diseases, though keeping the plant healthy and well-maintained will prevent most issues.

Uses in the Garden

Borders and Beds: Victoria White Salvia is excellent for borders and flower beds where its vertical spikes can add height and structure.

Container Gardening: It also does well in containers, either alone or as part of a mixed display.

Pollinator Gardens: Its flowers are attractive to butterflies and bees, making it a great choice for pollinator gardens.

Landscapers who crowd your plants in are charging you more and creating a mess for you later when the plants reach maturity.

The on-center spacing of plants is a general recommendation representing distance apart which plants should be spaced when planted.

The spacing is based upon the mature growth of the plant material.

The distance is set to prevent crowding of plant material and the need for pruning when the plants are mature.

Red Drift® roses are a popular variety of groundcover roses, known for their vibrant red blooms and hardy growth habit. Here are some key characteristics and care tips for Red Drift® roses:

Compact Growth: Red Drift® roses are compact and low-growing, typically reaching heights of only 1 to 2 feet and spreading about 2 to 3 feet wide. This makes them ideal for small gardens, borders, and as ground cover.

Continuous Blooming: One of the most appealing features of Red Drift® roses is their continuous blooming from spring until frost. The flowers are small, vibrant red, and appear in abundant clusters, offering a striking display throughout the growing season.

Disease Resistance: These roses are bred to be highly resistant to common rose diseases like black spot and powdery mildew. This characteristic makes them a lower-maintenance option for gardeners, especially those who prefer not to use chemical treatments.

Care and Maintenance: Red Drift® roses thrive in full sun, needing at least six hours of direct sunlight daily to perform best. They prefer well-draining soil and require regular watering, especially during hot, dry periods. #driftroses #easygardening #backyardgardening #curbappealmatters #redroses🌹 #houstongardening #melanomasurvivor #tuesdaymotivation
