The family behind the name

Garden Guy is a real husband-and-wife business — Todd and Sabrina Farber — founded in 1991 and rooted right here in Fort Bend County. We're not a franchise or a national brand with a local phone number; we're the neighbors whose well-worn install trucks you've seen around Sugar Land and Missouri City. Todd designs and installs, Sabrina runs everything you actually touch, and together we handle landscape design and installation from the first walk-through to the last plant.

Building landscapes here since 1991

Todd started Garden Guy in 1991 with a simple idea: honest, expert landscaping for local families who wanted practical, beautiful results. More than three decades and thousands of Houston-area yards later, that hasn't changed — we still treat every property like it's our own front yard, because a lot of them are just down the road.

A Texas A&M horticulturist

Todd grew up in Houston, graduated from Bellaire High, and earned his horticulture degree from Texas A&M in 1991. That's not a line on a brochure — it's the reason your plants get chosen for our clay, our heat, our drainage, and the specific sun and shade of your yard. Real plant science, applied to Houston-area landscape design.

The horticulturist you meet is the horticulturist on your job site.

Todd doesn't sell the job and disappear. He's physically on site during Garden Guy installations — overseeing the crew and making the horticultural and design calls as they come up. The Aggie horticulturist who walked your yard and drew your plan is the one standing in it when the work goes in.
