Todd and Sabrina Farber, owners of Garden Guy, have been married since 1995 and have 5 children and two grandbabies!
Todd grew up in Houston and went to Bellaire High School and then on to Texas A&M (WHOOP!) where he earned his degree in Horticulture in 1991.
Sabrina was born and raised in Indiana but got to Texas as quickly as she could :). She earned her BA in Mass Media and Speech from Houston Baptist University in 1995.
The Farbers have lived in the First Colony area of Missouri City since 2001.
Todd enjoys spending time with Sabrina whenever he can. He also loves time with his children hunting, fishing and hiking. He is the proudest Coast Guard Dad you’ll meet too.
Sabrina enjoys time with Todd at their rural properties. She also loves to try her hand at Pure Barre, running a few miles and being the social media manager for Garden Guy. As an almost retired homeschool mom, Sabrina loves watching the children grow into wonderful adults. She is a two-time cancer survivor and is humbly grateful for the chance to live life and experience the love of her husband and family.

My years at A&M in Horticulture and field experience in residential landscape design and installation have been a natural extension of those loves. I never get tired of working with homeowners planning and designing what will work for them. I have found a niche in a smaller, home-owner market and I love it.” – Todd
We’re unique in that we only work in residential landscaping and when you get to know us, you see we are indeed just a small company working quietly for people who are much like us.
We turn around our proposals quickly and we complete our projects completely before going on to other homes. We try to treat folks’ homes like we want ours treated. Our overhead is minimal and we try to run everything on a cash basis. (You know that when you see our install trucks! Not fancy, but they get the job done!) We can charge you less because, quite frankly, we don’t owe as many folks as most companies do.

FAMILY-OWNED Know the phrase “Mom & Pop Shop”? That’s us! We run Garden Guy simply with Todd in the field, drawing at the design table or getting dirty with his crew members. Sabrina’s at home or on the go, scheduling clients, planning the next meal or making dinner.
Todd from Garden Guy just finished re-doing our front flowerbeds. His price was fair, I liked his expertise on knowing what plants would survive with our North-facing garden, loved his design choices, and especially liked that he is familiar with First Colony restrictions and codes. I heartily recommend his services! Oh! And job was completed in one day with great looking plants.

I recently engaged Todd (The Garden Guy) to redo my front flower beds. The initial meeting with Todd was very relaxed and he listened intently to fully understand my needs. He was on time on the day of installation (even though it was a cold a nasty day), completed the work timely and thoroughly cleaned up afterwards. The final product was better than I had imagined! I would like to thank Todd and the Garden Guy crew for the great job they did on my front flower beds about a month ago. They replaced everything except two trees and we love the way the new look. Our yard needed a refresh as a result of our friend Hurricane Harvey, and Garden Guy did not disappoint. The work was all done in just one day and all of the plants are looking great! Thanks also to Sabrina for being very responsive to our questions.
Garden Guy really does quality work. They re-sodded my front yard. They removed all the dead grass, added sand and dirt, tilled it all together well and then laid the sod. They also gave me instructions on how to take care of it, such as watering daily for 2 weeks and fertilizing in March. The yard looks fantastic now!
Todd is very knowledgeable and kind! He gave us options for what we were wanting to plant in our backyard and helped us make it work for our budget. His team was efficient and very clean with the job. I would highly recommend the Garden Guy for any yard/garden needs!

Based on positive reviews from neighbors on Next Door, I decided to give Garden Guy a try. I showed Todd photos from HOUZZ and together we put together a design to extend my outdoor patio with pavers. I am very pleased with the results. After the cold weather, I plan to have Todd do more landscaping. And, I felt his pricing is fair. You get what you pay for.
