Here are Todd’s top choices for fall and the best front yard shrubs.  These low-maintenance shrubs make you a WINNER this fall.

Indian Hawthorne

Low, and slow-growing, Indian Hawthorne is the perfect shrub for sunny spots in your front yard landscape. It has a naturally rounded growing habit and needs little pruning.

You will love the clusters of pink or white blooms each spring. Birds and wildlife love the blue-colored berries it produces too.   It is also tough and can take hot temperatures.

Cleyera

Cleyera requires full sunlight and partial shade and is suitable in Zone 9a as a border, hedge, screen, or foundation planting. It is a broad-leaf evergreen shrub.

Enjoy its glossy new growth as it emerges ending in an attractive bronze tint before maturing to a deep lustrous green.

Encore Azalea

Everyone loves the gracious southern classic flower,  azalea!

Todd says, “ I  like to plant this fast-growing dwarf azalea for its numerous, semi-double, and single blooms.”   It is beautiful in landscapes in spring, summer, and fall.

Encore Azaleas bloom best when given four to six hours of direct sunlight daily.

Kaleidoscope Abelia

This lemon-lime-colored shrub can be used when landscaping your front yard.   Abelia easily attracts butterflies and is also a disease-resistant plant.  Todd calls this, “ an outstanding accent shrub!”  It has bright variegated foliage that is yellow with green centers and it produces a heavy bloom of light pink flowers in summer and fall.

Viburnum Suspensum

This foundation shrub is easy-care and beautiful.  It likes full sun to part shade and

BONUS!   Deer do not usually eat it.  Viburnum Suspensum’s lush green foliage makes it a great foundation plant or short hedge for landscaping your front yard.

It blooms in the spring and early summer with a white flower too.

Crimson Princess Azalea

Look at this beautiful purple-red ornamental!   It’s lovely to look at in your landscaping,  but it can also take the heat.  Todd loves landscaping with the Crimson Princess Azalea.

This is the most dwarf form of the crimson azalea. It usually measures 2 feet by 2 feet in your landscaping.   It looks so pretty in a landscape and never really needs care.
